1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Locate the jumper labeled JBAT1.
   
3. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3.
   
   1. Default setting
   2. Clear Data
4. Wait 5-10 seconds and then return the jumper to pins 1-2.
5. You may now restart the PC.

1. Power off the system.
2. Locate the jumper labeled JPD1.
   
3. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3.
   
   1. Keep Password
   2. Clear Password
4. Turn on the system to POST screen (HP LOGO).
5. Shut down the system.
6. Move the jumper back to pin 1-2.
7. Boot up the system.
